The temperature for evaporating ink is much lower than the temperature for evaporating on ceramics. When the ink is removed, the laser beam affects the ceramic layer. Therefore, laser cleaning is considered self-limiting.This means that the laser can distinguish which substances must be removed and which materials must not be damaged. It does not cause additional contaminants because neither water nor chemicals and particulates are present during cleaning.
