The galvanometer mirror is a consumable, as the use time becomes longer or other improper use, we will need to replace the mirrors. This article contains detailed steps to do this and how to calibrate it after this. Depending on the actual situation, some steps are not necessary.

- Before replacing galvo mirrors, it is necessary to mark the focal point position of the original galvanometer when it is powered on.
- Remove the galvanometer housing and remove the upper cover.
- Record the original X-axis & Y-axis motor height.
- Remove drive board and rainbow cable.
- Remove the X-axis motor & Y-axis motor. Note: When removing the motor, it is necessary to ensure that the mirrors cannot be damaged by collision.
- XY axis motor completely removed.
- Remove XY mirrors,Note: When removing the mirrors, you need to press the mirrors to fix it, and then evenly remove the fixing screws on both sides.
- Install the new mirrors, Note: Make sure that the back of the mirrors and the motor connection line are perpendicular, press the mirrors to fix it, and then evenly rotate the screws on both sides to fix the mirrors to the motor.
- Connect the connection wire of the XY motor to the drive board. Note: It is necessary to distinguish between different terminals of XY.
- Install the galvanometer housing to optical path , calibrate it using a level, and then tighten the screws.
- Install XY motor, Note: The installation needs to ensure that the mirrors can not be damaged by collision. Motor fixed screws do not need to be tightened, the purpose is for further calibration.
- Install driver board and rainbow cable for power-on test.
- Power on to confirm that the mirrors has self-locked.
- Switch on the laser and verify that the center point is within the working field.
- Install the f-theta lens and adjust the XY motor ,make the center point coincide with the marked center point.
- According to the recorded data, adjust the height of the XY motor to be consistent with the previous one.
- After the height is confirmed, continue to tighten the screws evenly.
- Start the machine and calibration by line. Note: the X/Y axis must be adjusted to a straight line.
- After calibration is complete, power off and install the driver board.
- Install rainbow wire on top cover.
- Install side cover and upper cover, keep the connection and power test.
