F-theta lens Principle
The F-Theta flat focusing lens is one of the important accessories for the laser marking machine. The purpose is to focus the laser on the entire workpiece marking plate. The main performance indicators are as follows:
1. Scanning Area:
The bigger working area lens have, the more popular it will be. However, if we only consider the scanning area, it would comes out some problems like rough beam spot, or distortion increase.
2. Focal Length:
a. The scanning range is proportional to the focal length of the field lens----the increase of the scanning range will inevitably lead to an increase in the working distance. The increase of the working distance will inevitably lead to the loss of laser energy.
b. The focus spot diameter is proportional to focal lens. When the scanning area reaches a certain level, the obtained spot diameter is large, that is to say, the spot size would be rough, and the power density of the laser drops very fast (the power density is inversely proportional to the square of the spot diameter), which is not conducive to processing.
c. Since f-theta lens work with y'=f*Θ function, but the actual θ value and tgθ value are different,.And the distortion becomes bigger follows the focal length f.
3. Wavelength:
Currently, 1064nm&10600nm types are very popular on the market. And with the development of laser source, 532nm, 355nm, 266nm f-theta lens still have big application field.
